Chukku Kappi



Chukku Kappi is a herbal medicinal decoction using pungent spices like Dry Ginger, Pepper, Cumin and an aromatic herb like Tulasi with a touch of Jaggery and flavoured by Coffee. It's quite strong and spicy and sweet which helps alleviate cough and cold, mild fever, throat infections and nasal congestions.



Ingredients
  1. Water - 11/2 cups
  2. Coffee Powder - 1 tsp
  3. Dry Ginger powder - 1 tsp
  4. Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
  5. Cumin Powder - 1/2 to 3/4 tsp
  6. Jaggery - to taste
  7. Tulasi - 6 to 7
Directions
  1. In a saucepan, heat water, add jaggery and melts it.
  2. Add Ginger powder, Pepper powder and Cumin powder.
  3. When it boils, add Coffee powder.
  4. Stir for few minutes and then add Tulasi leaves and turn off the stove.
  5. Close the pan with a lid.
  6. Strain the Coffee into glass
  7. Sip it and enjoy the aroma coming from Tulasi and the pungent flavours from the spices.
