Ingredients
- Rice Flakes / Aval - 2 cups
- Milk - 4 Cups
- Jaggery (Sugar) - as needed
- Cashewnuts - 8
- Raisins - 8
- Cardamom - 4
- Ghee - 2 tbsp
- Melt Jaggery in boiling water, filter it and keep it aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp Ghee in pan, add Cashewnuts and Raisins. Fry it and keep aside.
- In same pan add the other 1tbsp Ghee and add Rice Flakes.
- Stir till it becomes light fluffy.
- Add Milk and allow it to boil.
- When boiled reduce heat and add jaggery. Stir Occasionally for 10 minutes.
- Switch off the stove and add fried Cashewnuts, Raisins and Cardamom Powder.
- Serve and enjoy the cardamom flavoured Aval Payasam.
