Potato Fry |
Ingredients
- Potato - 2
- Shallots - 5
- Garlic - 3
- Red Chilli - 2
- Curry Leaves - a sprig
- Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
- Salt - for taste
- Mustard - 1 tsp
- Peel out the skin and cut Potatoe into bite sized cube and leave it in water so that it does not discolor.
- Grind Shallots, Garlic, Red Chilli and Salt.
- Heat oil in pan and splutter the Mustard Seeds. Add Curry Leaves.
- Add grounded ingredients. Saute the ingredients till a lovely aroma comes.
- Lower the flame and add Chilli Powder and Turmeric Powder. Mix well
- Add potatoes directly out of the water, shake off the excess water slightly and mix well with masala.
- Close with a lid and cook in low flame until Potatoes are cooked.
- Remove the lid and Saute for 5 minutes until it is fried.
- Serve hot with Rice.
