Red Cow Peas Raw Banana Fry (Vanpayar kaya Mezhukkupuratti)



Ingredients
  1. Red Gram - ½ Cup
  2. Raw Banana (cut into small pieces) - ½ Cup
  3. Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp.
  4. Chilly Powder - ½ tsp
  5. Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  6. Red chilly - 2 nos
  7. Sliced Shallot - 3nos
  8. Curry leaves - A few
  9. Coconut Oil - 1 tbsp
  10. Salt to taste

Directions 

  1. Cook Red Gram/ Vanpayarr in a Pressure Cooker with Water for 3 -4whistle
  2. Cook Raw Banana in little water along with turmeric powder, Chilly powder and salt.
  3. Heat Oil in a Pan.
  4. Add Mustrard seeds and Red chillies, allow it to Splutter.
  5. Add sliced shallots, Curry leaves and fry it.
  6. Put the cooked Grams and cooked Banana into it and fry utill it turns crisp.
