Rava Uppuma



Ingredients
  1. Nirapara Uppuma Rava - 2 Cups
  2. Onion - 1 medium
  3. Chopped Ginger - 2 tsp
  4. Chopped Green Chilli - 2
  5. Curry leaves - A sprig
  6. Urad Dal - 1 tsp
  7. Cashew Nut - 5
  8. Raisins = 6 or 8
  9. Salt - to taste
  10. Water - 1 cup
  11. Mustard - 1 tsp
  12. Oil / Ghee - 2tbsp

Directions

  1. Boil water and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, splutter mustard seeds.
  3. Add Ginger, Green Chilli, Cashewnuts and raisins. Saute till light brown in color
  4. Add onion, stir until it turns translucent.
  5. Add curry leaves, salt and urad dal.
  6. Add Rava and saute for 3 minutes.
  7. At low flame add water and mix and cover it.
  8. Saute Occassonally for 15minutes.
  9. Serve hot.
